Features. And the ones we chose not to build.
The full surface, grouped by what it is for. The most interesting list is the last one.
The core loop
Eight wellbeing categories
Sun, Sleep, Nutrition, Exercise, Rest, Socialising, Expression and Comfort, rated on a nine-point scale. These are the axis everything else is charted against.
Feelings, motivation and stress
Optional extra dimensions: happy, calm, sad and angry, plus motivation, stress, energy and anxiety. Each can be switched off independently.
Free notes
Write as much or as little as you want. Your notes stay on your device unless you turn cloud backup on, and are never used to train anything.
Real-world context
Attach the week's sleep, steps, exercise or weather so the reflection is about your actual week, not an idealised one.
A flow you configure
Every rating step is toggleable. Strip the reflection down to two steps if that is what you will actually do each week.
Fully offline
Submitting a reflection never touches the network. Your device is the source of truth.
AI that is optional and yours
Companions you design
Name, role, personality, tone, temperature, colours, appearance and artwork. Create as many as you like.
Separate memory per companion
Each remembers its own history with you. They are different characters, not one assistant wearing hats.
A catalogue of models
Choose which model sits behind each companion, from free through to flagship. The catalogue updates without an app release, and an in-app guide explains what each is good at.
Written weekly reflections
Your week, read back to you in plain language, with the patterns pointed out.
Deep dive and quick dive
Guided reflective questions, long form or short. The questions work even with AI switched off.
Ongoing chat
Carry any reflection or check-in into a conversation, and pick it back up later.
Monthly analysis
A wider view once enough weeks have accumulated.
Genuinely optional
Turn AI off in Settings. The reflection, goals, habits and insights all keep working.
Direction, not just targets
Aspirations
A direction rather than a target, with low-pressure tools to find one: sketch possible futures, swipe-sort identity cards, or browse a library.
Goals
Measurable outcomes with a target date, each able to link to any number of aspirations.
Habits
Small weekly behaviours with a weekly tally, covering both habits you are building and ones you are reducing. Each climbs a five-level ladder based on cumulative successful weeks.
Barriers
Name the things actually getting in the way, and work on those rather than on willpower.
Motivation check-ins
Guided by your companion or filled in by hand, built on seven behavioural science frameworks you switch on individually.
Weekly challenges
Optional small challenges tied to the wellbeing categories, with difficulty you control.
Patterns, not scores
Wellbeing radar
All eight categories at a glance, and how the shape changes over time.
Emotion and state trends
How your feelings, motivation, stress, energy and anxiety moved across weeks.
Motivation against stress
The relationship most people find most useful, charted plainly.
Month over month
Longer-range views once you have the weeks behind you.
Where everything lives
Local-first storage
An on-device database is the source of truth. The app is fully functional with no connection at all.
Opt-in cloud backup and sync
Turn it on to sync across devices. Leave it off and nothing ever leaves your phone. Security rules restrict every record to its owner.
Sync by category
Choose what syncs rather than accepting all or nothing. Health data has its own switch, separate from the feature that reads it.
Account deletion, self-service
Delete your account or just your data, from inside the app or from the web.
Guest mode
Use the app without an account at all.
Two layers you have to switch on
Each shows you an honest warning about its trade-offs before it turns on, because both can quietly work against what the app is for.
Advanced biometric tracking
For people with a smart watch or fitness tracker. Reads extended health data (sunlight, sleep, activity, recovery, physiological, nutrition) and uses it to enrich reflections quietly rather than presenting another dashboard to optimise. Each category is a separate toggle, and toggling one is what triggers that permission request, so you only ever grant what you actually enabled. Its cloud sync is a second, separate switch.
Levels and EXP
An opt-in gamification layer. Challenges and successful habits earn EXP into wellbeing categories, categories level up, and the levels combine into an overall rank. It is off by default and marked beta on purpose: gamification can crowd out the self-directed motivation the rest of the app is built around, and the app says so before you enable it.
The features we decided not to build
-
No streaks. Nothing to break, so nothing to feel bad about breaking.
-
No points, badges or leagues by default. The optional EXP layer exists for people who want it, off by default, with a warning attached.
-
No daily targets. No 10,000 steps. No “you are behind for the day”.
-
No nagging. Reminders exist, they are gentle, and they are yours to configure or switch off.
-
No visible failure history. Missing a week is not recorded as a failure, because it is not one.
-
No leaderboards or social feed. This is a private tool, not a performance.
-
No ads, ever. And no selling data to anyone, for any purpose.
-
No dark patterns when you buy. Every purchase is described in the app, in the app's own words, with the price, before any store sheet opens.
A calmer way to keep going.
One reflection a week. No streaks to break, no scores to chase, no pressure to perform.
