TO FEEL OKAY.

Your ring buzzed. Your watch panicked. Your scale filed a report. Meanwhile your body just wanted a nap and a little sunshine. RetroPals asks you one thing, once a week, and never once mentions your blink efficiency.

Feeling fine became a full-time data analyst job.

Your watch knows your heart rate. Your app knows your streak. Somehow, neither knows what actually motivates you.

Monitoring your heart 24 / 7 so you can worry about it 24 / 7.

Every flutter logged. Every dip flagged red. You now check your resting BPM at stoplights. Here's the punchline: stressing about optimising your heart health is a great way to give yourself a heart attack thinking about it.

RetroPals doesn't touch your heart rate. It just asks if you went for a walk and liked it. Turns out that's the part that helps.

! HEART RATE ELEVATED. CAUSE: CHECKING YOUR HEART RATE.

// The real numbers

Most wearable users stop within five to seven months. In one study, only 16% were still tracking after around 320 days. Self-tracking can even increase how much people do something while reducing how much they enjoy it.

Our research pointed in a different direction: less tracking, more living.

So we built the opposite,
a bet against smart tracking devices.

Eight parts of your wellbeing, on a simple scale.

A few notes, and the context behind them.

Your companion turns the week into plain language.

// What you actually get

Built for the version of you who is busy and tired.

Ten minutes, once a week

Not a daily habit to keep alive. One check-in on a Sunday, and the rest of your week belongs to you.

It remembers what matters

Your companion carries what you have been working on from week to week, and brings it up when it is relevant. You are never starting the conversation over.

Motivational science, when you want it

Real behavioural science frameworks sit behind the goal check-ins, in plain language. They stay switched off until you turn one on.

Nothing to break

Miss a week, or a month. Nothing resets, nothing is recorded as a failure, and nothing guilts you on the way back in.

// Pick a companion

Build your own motivational companion.

A personalised agent with a memory system that evolves with you over time. AI is optional: the companion works either way. Start from one of four personalities and roles.

    Explore new perspectives and possibilities.

Are you good at making AI agents? Put your skills to the test.

Customise your companion to fit you: its name, its role, how warm or how direct it is, how it looks, and which model sits behind it (Claude, Gemini, Kimi and more). Then watch it evolve with you. Make as many as you like, and each keeps its own conversations and its own memory, so they genuinely know different things about you.

// The weekly loop

One reflection a week. That is the whole routine.

  1. Rate your week

    Eight parts of your wellbeing, on a simple scale. Two minutes if you are in a hurry, and every step can be switched off if you are not.

  2. Say as much as you want

    A few notes, how the week felt, how motivated or stressed you were. Optionally pull in real context like your sleep, your steps, or the weather where you were.

  3. Get it read back to you

    Your companion turns the week into plain language: what stands out, what connects to what, and one small thing worth trying next.

  4. Watch the picture build

    Weeks stack into patterns you can actually see. Self-awareness, not another dashboard to optimise.

Every step is optional, and every one of them can be turned off in settings. Turn the AI off entirely and the reflection, the goals, the habits and the insights all keep working.

// Two minutes

See a week go through it.

Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.

// The whole idea

Build a life that actually matters to you.

A goal and habit tracker built around behavioural science, self-discovery, and a simple weekly wellbeing reflection routine.

Instead of chasing streaks, scores and performative metrics, which the research shows produce short-lived motivation, RetroPals helps you understand what motivates you, what matters to you, and how to keep moving toward the goals you actually care about.

At the heart of it is a motivational system built from months of research into behavioural and motivational science: seven behavioural science and motivational theory tools, all of which work with or without AI. Combined with weekly self-reflection, they help you turn vague ambitions into meaningful goals, recognise patterns in your behaviour, and make progress without unnecessary pressure.

No streaks. No guilt. No pressure to perform.

Just a simple weekly ritual designed to help you understand yourself, stay motivated, and gradually build the life you have always wanted, with behavioural science and a wellbeing coach by your side.

Your inner life is not a training set.

Your reflections live in a database on your device, and the app works fully offline. Cloud backup is opt-in and stays off until you turn it on. Leave it off and nothing ever leaves your phone.

When you do use the AI, it runs under a zero data retention policy. Your prompt writes the response and is then discarded: not stored, not logged, and never used to train a model. Prefer to run it on your own account? Bring your own API key and pay your provider directly, at their price.

There are no ads, no data sales, and no analytics SDK anywhere in the app.

of health tracking tech.
